Best Pool Toys for Kids 2025

I joke that my kids are turning into fish this summer! You can truly find us at the pool most days. We had "visit 5 pools" on our summer bucket list and we crossed all 5 off pretty quickly! As a self-professed "minimal-ish mom," I don't love having too many things in my bag or in my home. But I do love toys that foster real play for my kids. Basically, I want to have only the best of the best! SO...I’ve rounded up a list of the pool toys my kids are loving this year!
My daughter and her friends love playing with their mermaid Barbies in the pool. It floats and is perfect for the pool. There are lots of colors/options available!
The Barbie boat has been one of our top toys this summer! It's so fun! FYI the mermaid Barbie does not actually fit in the boat unless sort of balancing on top of it! But regular Barbies do! We use them all at the same time anyway! Even boys love playing with this boat :)
If your kids are like mine, diving toys never get old. These colorful gems are such a hit—they love throwing them in, racing to find them, and sorting them into “treasures.”
These classic water shooters pack a punch but are easy enough for younger kids to use. Great for sibling splash battles and keeping things cool!
This one has more power than your average squirt gun, but it’s still manageable for little kids. Great for backyard or pool play, and it always brings the giggles.
Give kids (or men!) a ball, it will turn into a game of catch! Great for older kids who want something active without diving, and easy to throw even when wet.
These classic diving toys are always a hit.
After three summers with the same pair, I let my kids pick new goggles this year—and guess what? They still love the Froggles more. These are the only goggles that consistently stay on, keep water out, don't pull out their hair, and don’t leave painful red marks. 10/10 recommend—and worth every penny!
